This class is offered at both Primary and Upper School.
The instructor is Thomas Fort, Sr., Masters in Early Childhood Education, Masters in Social Work, LMSW, APM. Tom is also a member of MENSA.
This class is designed to encourage strategic, analytical and creative thinking by using games such as chess, checkers, mancala, Monopoly, and others. Cards games are also utilized. Good sportsmanship is emphasized, as is being a team player. "It is not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game".
The class is recommended for the gifted child to improve analytical skills. It is taught on the appropriate level for children who need extra practice in following directions and working cooperatively. It helps children learn sequencing and processing in a fun and esteem building way.
All levels of children are welcome.
